Christina is a writer, first and foremost. From a young age, Christina devoured books voraciously. While other children preferred video games and cartoons, Christina preferred to hold a book in her hand. She lost herself in countless worlds, lived the lives of a thousand characters, and broadened her horizons – all before the age of ten. During these tender years, Christina discovered her love for writing. With notebook in hand, Christina faced each day with a sense of adventure and with an eye for a good story. She weaved tales that regaled audiences near and far and at only 13 years of age, became a regular writer for “From Me To You” teen girls’ newsletter. After many years, a busy and adventurous life, and countless stories told, Christina fell in love with the speculative fiction genre. Inspired by masters of speculative fiction, such as Neil Gaiman, Brandon Sanderson, Anne Elizabeth Stengl, Ted Dekker, and Frank Peretti, Christina answered her calling and immersed herself into a genre where anything and everything is possible. In times past, Christina has been known as R.C. Bourne, author of “Fallenvale”. These days, Christina has chosen to write under her real name and continues to deliver stories with an unusual twist and fresh viewpoint to one of America’s most popular genres. Fueled by her strong faith in God, Christina delivers a unique approach to tackling spiritual issues and the mysteries of the universe within the pages of her stories. When Christina is not writing, she is wife to Joseph and a busy mother to three daughters who keep her on her toes at all times! Christina is a recent graduate from Southern New Hampshire University, where she graduated with honors, receiving her B.A. in English and Creative Writing. In her spare time, Christina loves to travel, bake, play the piano, read, and sharpen her photography skills. Christina has spent much time in England, Scotland, Ireland, and Italy and as such, her writing has been influenced by the history, lore, and people of these countries. Her writing experience includes guest columnist for her local newspaper during her tenure at the Muskogee Public Library, as well as contributor to "From Me To You" Newsletter. Alongside her publication of urban fantasy under the pen name of R.C. Bourne, Christina has also worked as an independent editor and consultant. Lastly, Christina still loves to read. While she prefers the fantasy genre, there isn’t a book she won’t read if given the chance!
